Introducing SpinPoi - a new activity for our exercise groups!
We're really excited to have a brand new activity to offer at our exercise groups! SpinPoi is a gentle exercise program developed in New Zealand, following clinical research showing that playing with poi provides many physical and mental health benefits. Poi is an important part of Māori culture and involves swinging or spinning a ball on a cord around the body, for exercise or performance, and as well as being good for your health is loads of fun!
Our support worker Claire is one of only five certified SpinPoi instructors in the UK, so by joining us at one of our groups you'll have an experience you're unlikely to find elsewhere! You can read more about the benefits of playing with poi here, or see a short video of a SpinPoi class on YouTube.
